A new release at traditional high strength of this lovely fruity and juicy Speyside single malt, this time finished for 15 months in first fill Pedro Ximenez barrels. We chose two casks with slightly complementary souls: one with a sweeter, rounder and fatter profile, and one that on the other hand was drier, nuttier and with a hint of toasted notes. By gradually adding water according to your taste, its complexity and nuances will shine, showcasing a slightly different face at every step. Of course the notes of rich sultana raisins and dried plums play a big role, but it also has a drier fruity side of oranges, a hint of pleasant sourness like balsamic vinegar, and a firm maltiness that provides a robust background. There is a touch of toasted nuts and pecans, and a hint of dark chocolate too.
