NEW
A rich and creamy single malt from Islay, of particular maturity thanks to a very long finish of 56 months in a first fill ex-bourbon cask. At the nose, it’s intensely smoky, with a moderate touch of vanilla, and a hint of green bananas. It has a farmy and leathery note, too. The long influence of the fresh bourbon cask is most noticeable at the palate, preferably with a drop of water to release its nuances: extremely luscious, caressing, with a velvety malty sweetness that envelopes the powerful peaty character. It still is intensely smoky, ashy, rich with notes of liquorice, but also a vegetal hint, of hay and chamomile. Ultimately very peated, but also balanced and never aggressive. The finale is balsamic, on mint and camphor.
