A very delicate Speyside malt, that remains true to the clean fragrance of the spirit: we only added a finish of almost three years in first fill bourbon to give it an extra touch of roundness, without altering the profile of the original refill bourbon maturation. At the nose it’s pure, fresh, flowery: gentle whiffs of hay, honey, vanilla, without any alcohol burn. It doesn’t need any water when tasting: it doesn’t have any asperities, and it remains smooth and easy. Again, very fragrant, with vanilla, honey, propolis, and a touch of beeswax: while very velvety, it never becomes exceedingly sweet. On the contrary, it retains a grassy side, with a citrusy note of lemon peel. It slightly grows in intensity towards the end, for a pleasantly peppery finale that still remains extremely smooth, fresh and caressing. A summery malt.
