A very distillate driven Laphroaig that showcases the pure character of the distillery. On the nose it opens with medicinal peat, sea breeze and lively notes of grapefruit and lime that evolve into lemon yoghurt, cool ashes and a fresh, balsamic touch of eucalyptus. The palate is direct and typically Laphroaig with iodine, bandages, dry peat smoke and bright lemon, wrapped in a fine, dry hint of white pepper. The finish leaves a long lasting, dry, ashy coating on the tongue, accompanied by the pleasant bitterness and freshness of grapefruit peel.
