A special release for Taiwan of our appreciated very old blend, from one of the three casks that have been laid to rest 35 years ago with a secret recipe of malts mostly from the Highlands and a moderate percentage of grain whisky. The long maturation in sherry casks married all the components perfectly, to give life to an accomplished tasting experience which mirrors the style of the most luxurious blends of many decades ago. Dominated by rich notes of sultana raisins, old leather bound books, beeswax and tobacco, it is a complex whisky to be savoured slowly, with an increasingly tannic and complex finale. The result is subtle, rich, full bodied: it perfectly showcases the art of creating a whisky that is more than the sum of its components.
