Last year we bottled half of a wonderful sherry butt of Tomatin: now it’s time for the other half. We can’t say that the extra months of maturation made a big difference, but it’s nonetheless a great joy to offer some more bottles of this great whisky to you! Oaky, sherried and tannic, it’s a respectable old Speysider. Its austere character and huge influence from the Oloroso butt are matched by a still lively and fresh fruitiness. While the oak is big (with notes of coffee, cocoa and leather), it never shows signs of tiredness and dustiness because the fragrant citrusy notes take their deserved place too. Don’t miss it… there won’t be any more bottles this time!
