The tradition of the House Malt keeps going on: a heavily peated young whisky from Islay that already shows great maturity and complexity. Its round, soft and chewy texture provides a velvety background for the smoky, sooty and medicinal notes, for a malt which is intense but at the same time extremely drinkable and easy on the palate. The perfect balance between a dry nutty character and the malty sweetness (with notes of licorice, vanilla and coffee) is something that is usually expected only from whiskies twice its age. Definitely stunning quality for a malt with such an affordable price: once again, you will be left guessing which renowned Islay distillery it comes from…
