A bottling which comes close in style to the previous edition and showcases great interaction between the sweet maltiness of the spirit and the fresh sherry casks, for a result which is not too winey and dominated by the sherry, but rather aimed at a buttery and biscuit-like profile. As expected, it’s a nutty, sweet and honeyed whisky, with its autumnal array of flavours: pears, apples, chestnuts, and a yeasty hay-like fragrance. Soft and very easy, this is meant to be enjoyed by everyone, connoisseurs and casual drinkers alike, straight or on the rocks, because its smooth fruity and flowery personality is comparable to that of prestigious high-class blends… but with the body and richness of a single malt from a secret Speyside distillery.
