ARCHIVE
A very old release of a rare Glasgow grain whisky, only occasionally bottled as a single. The influence of the final two years in third fill PX casks is subtle: just a hint of fruitiness, of dried plums and dark sugar at the beginning, but then it remains very agile and completely dry, as crisp as it’s expected. The influence of the tannins from the long maturation can be felt in the peppery note, but the oak is never overwhelming: this is complex and subtle whisky, but never a heavy one.
