The oily, full bodied but smooth distillate from Bunnahabhain finds a perfect companion in our specially selected Pedro Ximenez cask. The result is a fruity, aromatic whisky with a big mouthfeel. The effect of the finishing is not simply on perceived sweetness, but rather an accent on the notes of raisins and beeswax which curiously brings out the hint of smokiness of the original distillate. It’s not an evident note of peat, but rather an almost unperceivable toasted character like cooked sugar and charcoal. Limited edition of 624 bottles.
