After the Silver Medal at the Malt Maniacs Awards last year for our first release, we couldn’t let that bottling be a once-in-a-lifetime experiment. Prepare yourselves to be very surprised, because this time the influence of peat is even subtler: this whisky could be easily mistaken for a forgotten Macallan from decades ago… but we can assure it comes from Islay indeed! It’s a wonderfully winey, sweet and luscious sherry monster, with rich notes of rancio, candied oranges, dried plums, camphor, and balsamic vinegar. Thick, chewy, leathery… and enormously fruity. Even more dazzling and creamy than last year’s release, a single malt we’re proud of… but alas available in extremely limited quantities.
