Once again, it’s the time of the year when relaxing with a good single malt is one of the best pleasures of life. And it’s also time to stock up with some nice bottles in anticipation of the Christmas season… So, what a better way to visit a whisky fair and discover the new releases to decide what suits our tastes best?
As usual, Italian whisky lovers (but we also always have plenty of visitors from Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Russia, Ukraine…) have the perfect occasion to do so at the now legendary Milano Whisky Festival, which has reached its 19th edition and will be held on November 30th and December 1st-2nd at Allianz MiCo – Centro Congressi MI.CO.
Needless to say, we will have all the most recent Wilson & Morgan bottlings for the Italian market open for tasting, and like every year we will have a masterclass led by our brand ambassador (on December 1st at 15:00) which – as always – went sold out in 24 hours.
It will be a particularly high-end masterclass, with an impressive lineup:
Glenturret 8yo Signature (2015-23) 48,0% W&M522
Glenlossie 16yo Sherry Finish PX (2008-24) 53,9% W&M547
Glen Elgin 15yo Sherry Finish Oloroso (2008-24) 57,1% W&M530
Ben Nevis 25yo Fully matured in Sherry Wood (1998-23) 52,4% W&M527
Dailuaine 40yo Fully matured in Sherry Wood – Decanter (1983-23) 54,0% W&M484
The Spirits Business
And just to highlight how the whole world is taking Wilson & Morgan in high esteem, we would like to share with you a recent article on The Spirits Business. Once again, they have picked Wilson & Morgan for one of their thematic interviews: a sign that the eye of the whisky-loving community is more and more focused on our bottlings and the status of our label among connoisseurs!
This time, as a change of pace, TSB interviewed Luca Chichizola, brand ambassador since 2004 and charged with the delicate task of assisting Fabio Rossi in the selection of casks for every bottling.
Have a look to what he has to say about the selection process and the ongoing trends for Wilson & Morgan and single malt whisky in general!
