Looking out from the windows of our offices, the trees have grown new leaves: they are of a bright green colour, and we love how they match the beautiful green of our prestigious Cask Strength releases!
To celebrate spring, we have selected some new impressive whiskies: as usual, only the best casks deserve the Cask Strength treatment, and we are really proud of them. Let’s discover together the new champions of intense flavours and bold taste!
Glenlossie 15yo (2008-24) Sherry Finish PX W&M529 (54,1%)
Rich, sensual and sweet, with plenty of tropical overripe fruits, dried plums and apricots, and then dark tannic notes.
Glen Elgin 15yo (2008-24) Sherry Finish Oloroso W&M530 (57,1%)
Fresh and flowery, with only a moderate influence from the sherry: citrusy, mineral, with a fragrant oaky note.
Linkwood 14yo (2009-24) Sherry Finish PX W&M531 (54,5%)
Robust, fruity, sweet and smooth, with a nice tannic touch to add spice and liveliness. Muscular and playful.
Benrinnes 12yo (2011-24) Sherry Finish PX W&M532 (51,6%)
Benrinnes 12yo (2011-24) Sherry Finish PX W&M533 (54,9%)
Two twin single cask bottlings, with a long 42 months finish: dark and balsamic, peppery and tannic, only moderately fruity.
All these single cask whiskies have been bottled in extremely small quantities, and are the cream of the crop in our 12-18 years range. At cask strength, and at such a fair price, they won’t last long: have you already secured one of each of them for your enjoyment?
And by the way, do you remember that luxury decanter of W&M484 Dailuaine 40yo 1983-23 that we launched in February in Dubai? Well, it looks like it received an enthusiastic response: it currently holds an average 91.80 rating on Whiskybase!
Be sure to find one of the few bottles still available, while you are still in time!
